Yesterday I finally made my way out to the Larz Anderson Museum in expensive but lovely Brookline, MA. The museum is the oldest motorcar collection in the US!

Sunday was European motorcycle day on the lawn and while it seemed like a third of the bikes were BMWs (mostly more modern ones) there were quite a number of bikes I found nifty in one way or another, here are some.
Oh, and I was using a Galaxy3 android phone so sorry, this isn't going to be fancy.
This is the only way I can get my Katana to look cool, and that's to part it next to this wild twin-turbo hemi powered rat rod.
I love the vintage cafe racer look. Like this rare Ducati MH900 evoluzione
I don't even know how to describe this one. It apparently started life as some sort of Suzuki but now it's just bonkers. It looks like it was widened. The seat runs the entire top of the bike. And then there's the sidecar. I don't think there's anything Euro about it but I sure as hell wouldn't deny access to this.
Laverda 750S. I think this is my new dream bike. It's so gorgeous and is sort of what I always mentally pictured the perfect bike to look like. Shame they are friggin rare as hell.
Ducati Desmo 900ss:
SENNA BIKE!!!
Ducati 916 Senna edition. I just about pissed myself when I saw this.
It's for sale too! Anyone got $20K I can borrow?
If I was to give out an award for the most beautiful bike at the show. It would be this one. Also, if I wore panties, they would have dropped at the sight of this. I still can't get over the stunning color combination and just how much a work of art this Ducati Paul Smart 1000LE is.
Scooters were there too! On the fringes of the lawn, haha.
Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans. I used to hate square headlight bikes but now I think I'm warming up to them. Maybe it's some ironic hipster-ness in me or just that I like oddball stuff, but I really dig this. Maybe cause it reminds me of my childhood in the 80s.
Bunch of Moto Guzzis. Including one that should have won an award for least tasteful paint job.
Couple old BMWs, perfect for your Hogan's Heroes cosplay! I don't know much about them, 505Turbeaux can probably elaborate!
Oh cool an old AJS! What? Yeah, I had never heard of them either before today.
Two Vincents.
(mmmmm....)
Cool old Velocettes!
1971 Seeley / Norton custom racer. Really awesome bike. Glad to see it won an award.
1958 Triumph
This custom Triumph was a mix of a whole bunch of stuff, like a Honda swing arm and whatnot. Love, love love it. The paint was fantastic, just a hint of pearl and metalflake. So subtle and perfect.
Here's an old Norton, just hanging out, looking cool and leaking oil ;-)
This old Triumph was absolutely gorgeous.
1980s BMW with weirdo Flexit sidecar. This combo was so 1980s that I was grinning like a little kid. I really love it.
Much more normal 1968 BMW with sidecar:
Random nice Honda in the parking lot:
Then I ride back home and stop at the pub for a moment, come out to the bike and lo and behold, a sweet KTM!!!
Also, I have no idea what model Harley this is (Sportster?) but it is sooo tiny. Like smaller than my Katana. I thought it was a Chinese 3/4 size knockoff for a moment.

Italian day in early August usually gets a decent group of bikes together, too. The last one I went to, maybe three summers ago, was insanely busy. I got to see an F40 though!
