This is for those of us who play iGP, so other's can take a look at our driver and we can all compare notes. Come on inside and post a screengrab of your drivers' stats!

My guy is good on paper, but he's really been sucking this last season. Do any of these numbers explain why?

I don't think your problem is with the driver, maybe strategy or the car isn't as developed as others. If there was one thing wrong with the driver, it's his talent is low. I believe talent is the most important attribute and it acts as a multiplier for everything else.

Here is my driver:

I'm going to be getting rid of him in a race or two because his talent is too low. He has been doing alright, but I think that I will be doing better with a driver with 17+ talent.

Most likely due to low talent.

Other contributing factors are:

Design development
You are not present to live manage often enough
You are interfering too much during live management
Your push level is too high
Your race strategy or time to pit is not ideal (including tire compound choice)

I'm sure you can determine for yourself which ones don't apply to you. Which ones do you feel apply to you, if any?

I'm no expert on the numbers. How's your development? Design is just as important as the driver. What I do is place enough designers on one part so that its next model will be ready, say, tomorrow. If I have enough designers to do this to another part, I add them there as well. If I have enough for a 3rd or 4th or 5th part, I do the same.

If I run out of designers for another part to be ready tomorrow, I leave the rest of the parts alone. When the other new parts arrive, I move all the active designers to the parts that didn't make progress, and then leave the newer ones alone.

When I first started playing last year or whenever it was, I used to just assign designers to whatever parts until I ran out of designers. In this method, waiting for new models would take ages. But doing what I do now, new models are out every few days or so.

And I don't think I should be complaining about my driver. At all.

I've live managed 8/10 of the races I've done, I have 60 designers, I've been watching my tire temps, my pit strategies have been working out pretty well. The problem I have is my driver is qualifying in the top half of the grid (15th-8th) but in the first few laps despite starting light on fuel and SS tires he drops to the back of the grid and stays there.

Your driver is usually faster than mine and only has a higher talent level. MYSTERY SOLVED.

Here is my current driver, working on physical with him. Not sure I'll replace him before I can get a 20 talent driver.

You'll be faster in the Pro section now, pit stops are also much shorter there.

Oh wow...I have 101 designers. That is very much likely the reason you are qualifying well but falling behind. Your car's development is too slow.

I really like my driver other than the fact that he destroys tires, I don't know if ill have the heart to replace him with a 20 talent driver

You won't make more money without spending more. The lowest I got to this season was $23 million, and I joined two days before the Monaco race. Now I'm at $40 million. Who are your sponsors? I can help you out there if I see you aren't raking in enough from them. I can also tell you right now the motor home is useless.

SO. I just upgraded to the Level 4 office building and have 120 designers. I bought DRS, and resigned with sponsors at $1.28M per race. I am waiting for reply from my driver about renewing our contract. Also waiting for a reply from Tifosi.

The real key is having a driver with great physical ability. Notice that's the one thing I have that sets my driver apart. Worked well the last 5 races and should have worked this one if he didn't pit with plenty of fuel for one more lap!

It sounds to me like they will race with us until enough people get into the Pro league. Which is bad for us.

You're right. We move up to Pro but can't move up to Elite until there are 16 teams in Pro.

Promotion is currently active in the Rookie league. (notice how it isn't inactive under the Rookie tab) That means people playing as a Rookie can advance into the Pro league.

However, nobody in the Pro league can advance into the Elite league until there are 16 people in the Pro league.

Hey, that's kind of you. I've just been busy and lost interest a bit. Started forgetting development/setup/races so thought it was better to leave for now. Hope to be back at some point.
