"Logansteno: Bought a VW?" (logansteno)

Working a double today wore me out.
But I got to go home early because they didn't need me to stick around to help close for some reason - I'm not complaining.
Plus I really don't wanna go to tech in the morning and have to deal with my lovely classmates and teacher.
Thus concludes today ramblings. Have a Volt.
My mom wants one of these to replace the Vue since it would use ZERO gas to get out to where she works. Compared to going through half a tank of gas in four days like she is now. Even though a tuneup on her car would probably aid that number.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

Honestly the Volt is a great car if you have the circumstances to justify it.
It's like a Prius for people who like to look damn good.

Would you prefer the Volt to the Vue?

Tell her to get this instead. 29MPG, and she'll be the coolest mom on the block.

It's really be perfect for her to DD. I doubt she'd use any gas all week if her work has charging stations.

Skip - trust me, in 30 years it will make no difference. And yes - Volt! Wish I needed a car, it would be in the running.

I dunno because the Volt is futuristic and cool and fuel efficient, but the Vue has that sweet sounding V6 and drives so great.
Tough choice.

Problems with this plan:
We can't afford a $50k car
It only seats two
She'd have to buy an auto because she can't drive manual

It's more a matter of my mom won't let me that's stopping me... I'll just fake being sick.
I wish we could get a new car, but it's a few years off. Which means the redesigned Volt will be out by then and maybe be even better!

Solutions to the problems blocking the plan;
Lottery
Get a second C7 to haul 4 people plus luggage everywhere
She has a wonderful son who would be more than willing to teach her the ways of manuel

Valid points. Even though my dad used to try and teach her all the time when he had his stick-shift Silverado and she just couldn't .

If only that had ever made it to production...
They actually thought about making that a Buick after Saturn went kaput.

I could teach you how to fake-break a knuckle (worked for me) but I think you're beyond that. And hey, in a few years a 1st Gen Volt might me 15-20K - more than affordable. Sat in one once at a Chevy dealer when we were picking up parts for mom's '98 Malibu. It's something Americans can be proud of - we built it.

Ugh. It's not like a Prius at all. It's a joy to drive!

I'm a big fan of the Volt. So much so that I bought one last year. A very pleasing drive and I get 100 MPG! Look into something called "TOU Billing" from your electric supplier!

That doesn't make sense! Its as if they wanted to make a Pontiac Express Sports Van.
Actually thats would be awesome.
