Everybody should chase their dreams. These are some of the most accessible dreams for all of us, all across the world.

found out it had been repaired and resprayed. They cost a lot here, and if I'm spending the money I may as well get one that I'm happy with

Depends on the extent of the damage to a degree, but yes - your dream car should be perfect. I honestly don't know what I would do - hey! here's a 2011 GT-R at a great price - salvage title! I think I'd probably spend the extra 10 grand (or whatever it is) to get a car that's clean, never hit, serviced correctly, and well cared for.

Non-stock wheels - who knows what else has been done to it. You were right to pass on it. Those might be upgraded brakes (Brembo?) but who knows what else has been done to it. Have I said that? If I ever buy a supercar I'll make sure it stays stock or can be easily restored to stock with the original parts. For example - how hard is it to find a stock 90s Supra? Very. But we all want one.
