from a 930 mile roundtrip on the Autobahn.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Re-planned my route and managed to get it down to 930 miles. Still, Southern Bavaria to the Baltic Sea on Friday to party hard and drive back on Sunday isn't something I would recommend to anybody. You really have to love driving. I tried to do it in 14 hours (a somewhat realistic goal) but only managed 14:50 which isn't too bad considering I lost at least 30 minutes each trip trip in traffic jams. And then there are those pesky construction zones!!!! They are everwhere!

If any of the American readers are wondering, this trip cost me around €210 or $270 in fuel. Not too bad, considering that I was doing the complete opposite of hypermiling.

Somehow the Honda, while being slightly faster, doesn't punish you that hard at the pumps as my old Mazdas.

930 mile round trip?

That's not a very long drive, what did it take you, a minute?

Kinja'd!!!

Edit, I just read the rest of it. Oops :(

Years ago I bought a car (well, a truck) 930 miles from home, and I remember the trip back was exactly 14 hours. Although I was towing a uhaul trailer with the car on it I drove there in, so there was room for improvement :P

I just remember 930 miles of that uhaul "max speed 45" sticker on the trailer fender. oops
