And not because I have to, but by choice.

To tell you the truth, I kind of hate gaming. It's a massive sinkhole of time and I've been finding games to be increasingly more frustrating rather than entertaining (especially the multiplier component). So I'm going to be freeing up memory so it can be used as the centerpiece of a multi-media entertainment center doo-hickey and I guess be primarily a Blu-Ray player at this point.

I was starting to lose a little faith in gaming until I started playing more indies. Very refreshing compared to the big blockbuster stuff.

Shooters have become a huge annoyance for me. I haven't played a traditional shooter since the original Quake and Unreal Tournament. It was fun playing with friends but there are people who dedicated their lives to FPS games and it's just not fun as a casual gamer to play online. That, on top of the fact that they are all exactly the same as far as gameplay goes.

I will say that Borderlands was an incredible breath of fresh air. It's specifically meant for cooperative play rather than PvP. IMO, PvP blows and I refuse to play PvP games.
