A Panasonic Palmcorder IQ-475 from August 1995. That's a AA battery in front, if you were wondering.
No fancy SD cards here! This camera uses VHS-C tapes. It doesn't even have a color viewfinder! At least sharing and editing video should be easier in 2014: I now have a VCR connected to my computer.
The battery still holds a charge, so I should be trying it out at some point. I'll be curious to see how the video quality compares to anything modern. I just need to find some of the old VHS-C tapes I have laying around.

Forget the AA, you probably could have used a car battery for comparison
