I can out-dumb that. I went to New Hampshire for the Cup race back in the late 90s. A fan successfully climbed the fence in turn 1, but then fell onto the track and broke his neck. Delayed things for a good hour as medical removed him then the state police insisted upon doing a "quick" investigation.
