oil has been changed. 45 minute record - this is important as my last oil change took 4 hours and spanned 2 evenings, nearly resulting in a heart attack (firestone gave me a free oil change with my alignment on the prior oil change - next go round I do it myself as I normally do. Well they used an impact drill and the plug oil pan was stripped out. The filter also took far too many tools and stabbings to get off. Luckily an oversized plug was the needed fix. )

But this one went smoothly, oil looks healthy (for being a year old PUT THE PITCHFORKS DOWN I've only put like 2k miles in the past year, if that)

And I'll have you know I only dropped the plug in the oil catch pan once AND remembered to put it back in before adding the new oil. But there is oil EVERYWHERE ... Oops

That probably would have been easier. The first time I dropped it it actually landed on a ledge which kept it from falling in. Then I knocked it into the oil -__-

Hahaha, Whenever I change mine I also make sure to not cover myself in oil also.

Thats crazy because I have some smoke film I've been debating on putting on. It's like 50% so not too bad and I have LED bulbs so theyre pretty damn bright.

Gotta love seeing tail lights people have used the spray on tint and it looks like that dunked the whole thing in black paint. Sure you know, because those aren't important to be visible.

Which reminds me of a guy I saw in traffic almost get rear ended a few times because he wanted to trans brake instead of using his actual brakes - which trigger the brake lights - which tell people "hey im stopping". "hey you're brake lights are out" "nah Im just using my trans brake" "well you're going to get hit you *censored* "

What the hell takes 45 minutes to change the oil? Mine takes like 20 mins tops.

If I am downshifting and worried about that, sometimes I will just rest my foot on the brake pedal enough to illuminate the lights as I slow down.

I used to drive my dads car though, and it didn't have brake lights just tail lights.

Counted from the time of gathering tools, bringing out the ramps, waiting for it to drain, and clean up. Plus lowering your vehicle is stupid and makes it difficult to get under, even when on ramps. My F150 I'd just slide right under

that makes sense though because you were at least making an effort to tell the people behind you hey I'm stopping. What's scary is when you blow the brake light fuse while you're out driving at night. Had that happen to me once a few miles from home so it was flashers and real slow driving the way home

Ok that makes sense.

My tools are usually readily available, so that probably saves a lot of time. You can get by without ramping mine up, but it makes it difficult.
