Kinja'd!!!

Proclaim the worst pair of beliefs that goes against the grain of the majority of commenters here. Rock the boat. Stir up the water. DO IT. I'll start.

1. I HATE Miatas. I don't care if it's well-balanced. I don't care that it's fun to drive. All I see is a little four-banger go-cart.

2. I DOUBLE HATE hatchbacks/"hot" hatches. It's a station wagon. And I hate station wagons too.

RAGE AGAINST THE MAN AND DECLARE WHAT YOU HATE.

#1. Miatas are not that good to me. I understand their appeal to some, but I am not one of those people. I don't live near mountains or twisty roads, so they definitely have zero appeal to me. If I did live near mountains and twisty roads, I have 4 other cars I would much rather drive as well as countless other fantasy vehicles I can aspire for. Nothing about the Miata pushes my limits or excites me personally.

#2. A manual transmission is a personal preference. I have multiple 5 and 6 speed vehicles, but I DD an automatic because I do not enjoy trying to be spirited in 40 mph stop and go traffic. 2012 CTS -V coupe in automatic = mash pedal, go fast, enjoy comfort. My 6 speed LS6 Datsun is a blast as well, but not for day to day driving where I live. Its still plenty fast, you just don't have to try .

Also, the 911 has never done much for me. I like the 918, Carrera GT, and the lines on the Cayman, but using virtually the same body style for however long it's been just doesn't appeal to me.

I'm not gonna bash your opinions but just correct your wrong interpretation of a fact.

big =/= safe

Small =/= unsafe

I have only been in 3 wrecks and all 3 times I was in a Mazda. 2004 Mazda 3, 2012 Mazda 3, 1995 Mazda Miata. It's not so much that I love Mazdas, I do, but I've owned many different car makes and models and it just happens my Mazdas attract accidents. I was rear ended at a stoplight at 40 mph while I was waiting for the light to change. The car that hit me lost it's front clip.

Kinja'd!!!

That's the extent of the damage to the Mazda. It actually looks worse than it was even.

All 3 of my Mazdas left me good enough to drive away from all 3 accidents.

As for small cars being un-Murican I'm inclined to agree even though I love Murica and I love small cars.

I can't watch Mecum auctions because of this. When I saw back to back, near identical corvettes (age, engine, etc) but one was some odddball interior option and sold for a disgusting amount of money while the other was just 'meh' I lost it.

Don't get the whole porsche 911 appeal, and their owners are major dicks (car meets). I have nothing against the miata, but I can get way more car than what the used car ads are asking for. Also fwd doesn't belong in a mid size or full size vehicle.

Hitting corners at dangerous speeds in my 4Runner is a hell of a lot more fun than hitting the same corners in an FRS. Because I have done both, I can verify this.

Originally yes. I live just SW of Houston now, but my entire family lives in the Westlake area.

First of all, how is a Hatchback a station wagon?

Now, on to my opinions.

1) I think the R34 GT-R is overrated. I'd take a GT-T Sedan or R31 over it any day.

2) I strongly dislike the Cadillac CTS-V Wagon.

If I can do 90 in mine, you can do over 70 in a CR-V. Source: lifted 2nd generation abused 4Runner owner.

I think the Hellcat exhaust sounds boring and generic.

I think the E30 M3 is overrated.

1. I think cities should be car-free zones.

2. I actually like the Crosscab.

2 b. I think the Crosscab R ought to be a thing.

Agreed on point 2. Not many cars aren't better with a manual, in my book, but the 458 is an example of the kind that isn't.
