Well, just have no idea what to write these days. Anyway, i got an offer from a local Subie dealer about this generation of Impreza WRX. In Indonesia it's used to priced in Camry price range, somewhere arround 60k USD. But since the new WRX is coming, they're really want to move this thing out and sell it for roughly the same price as the Civic, or roughly 40k.
It's a shame i'm going to move out to Russia. Because if i don't, i might already have one of these in my garage. Plus i prefer the styling of this gen rather than the current gen. The current gen looks like a civic with a hood scoop and gigantic wing.
But i wonder what's oppo's opinion with both cars? I never driven an Impreza in my whole life since i'm an Evo man. Simply because Evo is a much better car for the trackday, my bro.

If you're moving to Russia, the answer is simple.
1. Buy a Lada.
2. Install dashcams facing front, rear, and sides.
3. Upload your footage to Oppo daily.

The Impreza is a good, well balanced car. It corners well, the AWD is great, steering is amazing, brakes are good, quick.

Why not put a 13B or a 20R in it?

I think it won't fit, especially the 20B. The only way to put 20B is cut the car in half and extend it. I mean, there's barely room for 660cc there:

The GReddy AZ-1 had a 20B in it. While they widebodied it, the engine bay and passenger compartment was the same size.
If it can fit a 660cc 3-cyl with turbo, it should be able to fit a 13B. I mean, a Fiero's bay is crowded with a 2.5L Iron Duke 4cyl. in it but you can drop in Northstar V8's, Buick 3800 Series 2 V6's, and GM LS-series V8's.
Iron Duke Fiero.
3800 Series II turbocharged Fiero.
Northstar V8 Fiero.
7.0L LS7 Fiero.

What they're drinking when they thought about stuffing LS7 to a Fiero? That's awesome!
Well, i believe you had to strech/widen it. While you can fit a 13B there, i still want to live a bit longer.
