Horizontally opposed engine buddies!

My Subaru made friends with a Porsche Carrera S! Since they both have horizontally opposed engines, it's like a long-lost cousin or something. Except the cousin makes 2.5 times the power, is much faster in every quantifiable way, gets better fuel economy (!), but can't haul nearly as much junk, and probably isn't very good offroad.

EDIT: Oops that thumbnail is atrocious, how's this?

Not having to turn a driveshaft or multiple differentials does wonders for fuel efficiency.

You're probably right. The fastback shape plus whatever the front trunk is called can probably haul a good amount of stuff.

I miss having a Subaru. I would wave to Porsche owners with that "hey, fellow flat engine'd enthusiast" look in my eye, only to watch them stare back in confuzzlement.
