Went outside to check out my new 1993 Mazda 323 and look what was parked 2 cars down from it. It was a V8 model but it did have the proper gated manual.

That's a funny looking 323.
Back in my youth, I made a shifter gate for my '94 Ford Probe out of thick nylon.

Now my LARGEST client is pissed.
I don't think the Car Gods want me to have any more cars.
I don't even think they want me to have the car I have now.
They want me to drive a Yugo.

It's not going to be that Yugo
It will be a really shitty one

It'll be one that you have to go out of state to buy, because you'd have to buy the cheapest, rustiest one.

This client better not leave or I'm screwed

WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM

We had multiple production mistakes! ARGHHHH.
This client isn't even being a dick about it at all. They are being more than reasonable. I gotta figure out a way to prevent all mistakes. Or at least get them down to such a small number that it won't bug them. Otherwise doge and I will be on the street.

Sounds like you're gonna have to work 24/7 for several months to iron out all the problems.
What do you think of this??

I think I'm going to have to work 24/7 for the next 2 years to ensure I keep all this growth in check so that the company doesn't implode.
The only good thing about that is that if I do get the 16M it will be super easy to keep the miles off it. I'll only have time to drive it like once every 2 weeks so it will stay a low mileage car that will be worth what I paid for it if I go broke and have to sell it, lol.
Also this supports my opinion that I should KEEP ALL THE CARS. Keeping cars and paying them off instead of constantly selling them and getting new ones builds real equity. So if shit goes south you actually have assets to sell for food and shelter. Constantly buying new cars and not holding on to the old ones is no different than leasing. You never build any equity.
Going to that link now

Well that might start if I buy what's through that link...

DO IT! Buy dat bimmer. Never sell it. Unless you are forced to.
This is a good life plan. Buy classic cars that EVERYBODY wants

To be honest with you, if my dad says "yes" to letting me use one of the garage spaces, I'll bid on it. I still have a budget of about $7k though.

You, K Roll and I can't help but spend every dollar we have on cars.
Just hope you don't get to my point where you also spend the dollars you DON'T have on cars too (credit)

That'll probably happen to me and K Roll eventually. Just watch.

I can guarantee 100% that it will happen with K Roll. Every time he has another couple grand he will buy another winter beater.
You have a 50/50 chance of getting that bad. On one hand you're insane like us. But on the other hand you have a fiscally responsible Dad who tries to get you to do the responsible thing. He's not a YOLO influence like my dad.

My dad is ALL about saving money and investment and responsibility. So it's rubbed off on me a little. I guess we'll see how I turn out!

All you have to do is keep convincing yourself that rare and classic cars ARE an investment and you'll turn out fine!

I'll probably end up opening a car investment business. That'd be nice.

We need to eventually just sell used exotic cars
That's the best business to be in because every time we get a new car in we will get to drive it
I would totally have at least one car that's for sale in my garage at any given time

That's a dream job. Can we make it a reality!? If your client relationship collapses, you might have no choice but to make a new business and find out!
Manuél Ferrari
> Brian Silvestro
09/05/2014 at 23:01 | 1 |
We can but I gotta keep this thing going for a while first. I wouldn't have the seed money if things collapsed right now.
The business has to survive for at least 10 more years. By then we would have paid off a good chunk of the building loan and the building would have gone up in value too.
The real estate is held in a separate LLC in case the company goes kaput. Mad hedging, yo

Dat hedging

You're already on the right path! You have a FiST but want to hedge and get a 2002. That's some good financial thinking right there!

2002 will hopefully go up in value, if not just hold value. Which is nice.
