The configurator is out! Maybe no one cares, but I do.

Base model is just under 21k, and the nice one that I would kind of want is here:

This seems like a lot of money.

I still like this truck. The frontier is only 1k less, but it has a stick...

Any opinions?

Yeah I posted a couple days ago and have let almost half the Jalop staff know and none of them seem to care enough to post to the FP.

The one i posted was Base. AWD bumped it to the WT trim but I was not able to get a price with the rear locker and tow hitch cover.

What if I don't want a Ram? Can I get an El Camino instead?

Probably get the Chevy, get the standard trans, and consider if you need 4WD or 2WD and posi,

[My work 2WD truck has a 4 speed, 411 9inch with posi, and it can back up a hill in the rain, our 2WD Vanagon Westy has a manual lock, and then we have the 4000Qs]

GM usually makes an axle that locks for some of it's models as they appear to here. There are also after market parts.

Furthermore, consider white paint, as it hides dents best , and used parts in white are most common for a commercially used vehicle. Ask a dealer mechanic which engine choice to make, unless you need the V6, as a good mechanic will tell you if the 4 is weak, or the V6 is difficult to service..

You mean the Cummings Diesel with a manual trans.? The Colorado is a much small truck, while the Ram is a commercial duty truck that takes effort to drive.

Yes there are El Camino's from the 1970s out there, complete with tbe spiting doors option, and empty wild turkey bottles under the seat. If you are really lucky you can even find one with an 8 track.
