Disagree. There's nothing hard about drinking a large amount of booze quickly. It's just a liquid, and besides being a bit spicy in your mouth, once you get used to it, it's pretty easy. The impressive part is not dying in a few hours after consuming that much liquor.

Did you know that Richard Pryor, who was one of the writers on the film, was originally cast as Sheriff Bart? Movie execs were worried about his drug use though, and the role went to Cleavon Little, who I think made a better Bart than Pryor would have. Also, Gene Wilder was not the original choice for the Waco Kid. He was brought on board when Gig Young was unable to perform the role on the first day of shooting due to, ironically, a serious drinking problem. I think Brooks ended up with a better pair of actors anyway.

I got EXTREMELY sick on Jack Black once, haven't been able to stand even the smell of it since. :(
