"Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing." (granfury)

I don't know if this is old news or not, but it is something that I just stumbled onto. When looking at a picture, if you click and hold the mouse button down whilst moving the mouse (as if you were picking up the picture to move it somewhere else on screen) and then release the mouse button, the picture will be saved to your download folder. It certainly beats right clicking, specifying a directory, and all that other stuff necessary just to save a picture.

Neat trick. In Firefox, if you have the Downloads folder icon on your toolbar, you can drag to that icon and the photo will go to your Downloads folder.

Yes, but he mentioned the Download folder specifically.

didn't mean to sound snippy. a bit tired this afternoon.
i suppose i mentioned it because the single destination option for chrome sounds less useful than just a drag and drop where you want it.

Not at all. I don't use Chrome because it's a RAM hog. Then again, FF running AdBlock isn't much better, but AB sure makes Gawker sites more viewable.
Go take a nap!
