Found this in the comments on the fp. I shouldn't like it, but I do. I really do.

...just don't hit a speed bump...

At least it's bagged, so that's not too troubling

Same here, I think it really finishes the workhorse look

does this even roll?

According to the article, yes! It's owned by a custom shop in California, sat on bags and used as a truck should be on the daily

this truck would be so easy to load. You could also drop it on the highway for mileage. 10/10 would use as a work truck.

Work truck needs the W/T front end...

The only thing I don't like about these bagged trucks is they make the bed useless.

How do they make the bed useless? (Ignorance talking)
![]() 09/05/2014 at 08:42 |

I'm sure this isn't common where you live, but I've seen my fair share of them. This is what the bed looks like
If it's well done at least. Some of them look more like this:
Then they can be well done, but really useless.
I like lowered trucks, but bagged trucks, while cool looking, are pretty dumb.

Blimey. We don't have anything like that around here, on account of all the slammed Euro hatches we seem to favour.
I still think they look ace, but perhaps only as show trucks. The Roadkill Chevy C10 would be a good compromise; dropped on bags but not totally slammed. That way you can rip a sweet burnout, ride low and put stuff in the back!

Yeah, but if you watch the latest hot rod garage episode they explain that it has a step notch in the frame as well. Now, I don't think having a bump in the bed completely negates the practicality of the truck, but even the Roadkill muscle truck has the notch in the back

Damn, I didn't realise they had a notch. I'm sure it would retain some of it's practicality, but if you're going to drop a truck like that I guess you aren't really looking for that kind of usability. 10/10 would still hoon the muscle truck!

Lowered on bags without cutting into the bed is perfectly awesome.

Yeah I'd hoon it in a heartbeat. Actually, they said in hot rod garage it doesn't actually need the notch given it's not slammed, but since it already has one it's easier to deal with it then cut it out and put a C notch in. At least when they rebuild the wood floor in the bed they cut out for it and made a nice looking cover for the bump.

I'm so glad they rebuilt the truck to what it was, seeing it all kinds of chopped up was giving me a sad. Interesting stuff though, I suppose maybe it's better to have the bump instead of messing around cutting and fitting the C notch.
