I go back and forth on whether I'd actually buy one, but I've always liked the SportKa. They're quite handsome in person, and no one has anything bad to say about the way they drive... But they rust like a car from the eighties, and the interior would actually be a step down from my old 1.1l Peugeot's.
StreetKa, though? Yeah, not so much. It's all the rust and interior issues, with none of the looks, and a whole lot more weight and chassis flex.

This could have sold so much better than the new Beetle.

I'm guilty of liking the SportKa. It's like a Diahatsu Copen, but not the size of your shoe!

You're thinking of the StreetKa. The SportKa's the warm hatch:
I actually rather like them.

Right you are! Couldn't quite remember the name, I haven't seen either on the roads in a loooong time

I think it might've, if you lump it together with the SportKa warm hatch. If you include the regular Ka, then it absolutely destroyed the new Beetle.

I have a deep love for the Ka in all of it's varitations, it's a silly thing and it'd be a blast to hoon. StreetKa RallyKa, now that right there is THE dream.

I saw one a couple of minutes ago, oddly enough. They're actually reasonably common around here, in both Sport and Street form.
I kind of want one - they're in the group I'm considering for my next car - but the rust, and godawful interior do rather put me off.

It's a rare sighting for me, which is a shame as I rather like them!
I'd be wary of the rust too, my sister had an old Ka in which the suspension pretty much fell out as a result of corrosion.

When it comes to small rally car dreams, I'm more of a Peugeot 106 sort of guy - I have one already, and they're a very popular choice for rallying - but the Kas are rather appealing , particularly in SportKa form. I just wish they didn't rust!

My sister has a Ka too, and whenever I pull in to park at home, the angle of the driveway gives me a good look at the undercarriage, and it's a mess down there. Meanwhile, my 106, which is about three years older, doesn't have a spot.
Honestly, I'm probably going to end up with a 306 or a sporty Saxo. (Classy, I know.)

It can get pretty ugly on the old Ka's, I think she ended up scrapping hers.
The Saxo VTR is a great car, it just has a bad rep because of the people who own them. I had a go in my buddy's in college and they're highly chuckable little guys!

Too bad it was probably expensive and impossible to get it emissions and safety certified for the US.
