My car life: Work on the Mustangs has halted. School comes first.

Hanging up these lovely posters I framed last week, though.

Kinja'd!!!

Also, going to the Formula meeting for Baja and Race car. I'm a bit apprehensive, since my car knowledge is mostly from the 70's and before. I might skip this year and just work instead, but I really want to learn, but who has time to teach when you're building a race car!

I don't know any drafting or welding or modern suspension, or even much about electronically controlled engines.

:/

DO IT!!! You'll learn a ton in FSAE! Baja as well, but I'm bias toward Formula. Either way, it'll be great. Which school/team, if you don't mind me asking?

Also, you don't need to know a thing. Just have an open mind going into it, and be willing to help. They'll find a spot for ya.

As an FSAE member at my university what teams need more than anything else is people. Your hands on skills alone will be extremely useful to the team and you will learn a lot. I'm on U of M Dearborns FSAE team and we got sponsored by a local business and they are giving us free classes to learn how to weld and use more advanced tools. I do mostly technician stuff for the team and I'm an important member and have plenty of stuff to do. I would go check out the meeting at least and then decide from there.

Northern Illinois is the team. And yeah, I was going to lean towards the Formula team also.
