So I'm looking around on youtube watching car videos like always, and I can't help but wonder where the manuals are. Most reviews (on TFL) will say that the manual is only on the base model.... Well wouldn't it be great if someone would compare these? I would love to see a YouTube review of only base model manual transmission compacts or subcompacts. If someone wants to make my dream come true I would appreciate it.

That's it

Have a great day Oppo

When press review cars, the manufacturer are the ones who supply it. 99% of the time, they supply the TOP trim only to get the best possible review. I believe Chris Harris made a point about this in an OLD video when reviewing either an Audi R8 or something, where he was denied the manual because they wanted him to get a good review, yet he says it would actually be BETTER with the Manual and they were just being silly, because the car he was reviewing cost like, 80% more than the base car because of all the options, including the paddle shifters.

It was along the same lines of his complaints against Ferrari for their review practices.

I know this isn't necessarily what you're looking for, but you'll probably have better luck checking out British - if you prefer English-language stuff - car reviews. Manuals are still more popular than automatics in Europe, and tend to be offered throughout the range in all but the most high-end luxury and performance cars.
