It's a bit of a sad day for me, but it needs to go as I simply have more cars than I do time or space, and the Milano is the car that's getting neglected. It's in solid shape now, and I don't want to be responsible for letting it slip below that. $3k obo for any who are interested, although this post isn't really for interest-generating, mostly just for heart-outpouring of a twinge of sadness.

Good news is that selling this will let me sort out my current stable so I can go bigger (figuratively) and better with my next Alfa purchase.

Does it come with a person in the passenger seat?
I'm interested in updates about the rest of your stable as well. ;)

The cost of keeping that one happy makes the cost of maintenance on an Alfa look like a good deal! ;) Thankfully she's a bit sad that this one is going, which makes me feel better.
Trying to get my last appointment scheduled with the state so I can get the E30 registered. They have to affix a VIN-type plate to the firewall to establish the authenticity of the foreign VIN, but the hours of the office that does it are a bit funky. Hopefully it'll be fully ready for sale here in the next week, two at the latest. In the meantime I'm driving it to and from work (10 minute commute) to keep it fresh, but it's really just making me like it even more!

OCD compels me to rearrange the numbers on your license plate to BRR-6789.
BTW, I haven't seen a running Milano in years.

Haha, I've always rearranged it in descending order, but you saying that makes me feel a LOT better about that being my first instinct too.
It's a great little car, I've had a ton of fun with it. I just hate seeing it sit.

Selling anything from the stable is tough...I know, I've got one on the block now, and it's like losing an arm.
BTW...there's a little Alfa coupe that starts with the number 4 I see blowing doors off the other cars heading south of Frankfurt on the Autobahn here almost every morning. It's red, and it's beautiful.

Wonderful cars. Good luck with the sale. Back in my Alfa sales days we had a customer with a Milano Platinum that was approaching 300,000 miles on its original, untouched engine.
These are super stout cars and this one looks like a good one. Some Jalop should buy it.

God, I want that. I can't buy one though, so I'll look for a 1/43 scale model, as usual :/

Thanks for the kind words. Honestly, if it didn't cost 2/3 of the price of the car I would have spent the money to put proper a/c in the car and then driven the thing forever.

A car like this is a situation where you shouldn't look at the resale value for stuff like adding A/C. This isn't an old Honda or even an old BMW. This is a potential forever car. It won't lose value (unless you wreck it).
I'd say that if you want the car and can afford to add A/C, do it and keep it. Enjoy a different and fun daily driver.
I'm in a similar place. I've been hanging onto a Saab 9000 Aero because I like it, but after two years of no use (we bought a 500 Abarth), I'm in a similar place. I can afford to hang onto the Saab, but it's just wasting away from neglect. Time to hand it off to a new enthusiast.
Good luck.

I want the car but I know I just don't have the time to keep on top of it like I want to and, like you said, I don't want to watch it waste away from neglect. I'd much rather see someone else get to enjoy it for now. Plus, it'll open up money for an older, prettier Alfa in the next few years.
Thanks.
