Most of you like fantasys. So those of you with fantasy football teams post your roster. Make sure you note how many teams are in the league.

12 team league

QB: Tom Brady/Jay Cutler (start 1)

RB: Giovani Bernard/Zac Stacy/Shane Vereen (start 2)

WR: Dez Bryant/Roddy White/T.Y. Hilton/Cecil Shorts III/Mike Williams (start 3)

TE: Jordan Reed/Tim Wright (start 1)

DEF: Carolina

K: Nate Freese

Got Brady in round 9 and then took Cutler in Round 12 as insurance. Bernard and Bryant were scraps claimed off the waiver wire as our league allows 2 keepers. I kept nobody from last year's 4-9 mess.

Go Lions!

Just put in for Wes Welker on the waiver (I have the #1 spot, so it's a done deal) and dumping Reggie Wayne. I have no problem letting him ride the bench for 4 weeks.

Assuming it were a 12 team league you still got 6 first round picks on that roster... I don't think they're going to like it very much when you kill them each week. Also I don't see any scneario in which you ever bench Forte, Lacy, or Peterson unless there's a bye. No matter how good your WRs are.

Whatever you do do not dump Reggie Wayne for him. Wayne was Luck's #1 WR until he got hurt last year. He's a great possession receiver pretty much guaranteed to get 8/80 every week. The only week you'll need Reed is the week Davis is on bye. Dump him for now and try to trade Wayne for another solid backup RB.

And you might want to scour the waiver wire weekly until SF gets healthy on D. They're missing 4 starters.

I don't like Coulston or Garcon but that's personal bias. The only player you'd consider is Tate and he's never been anything remotely resembling a strong play. Tavon Austin is my wild card pick. Shaun Hill can throw a good deep ball. Austin is likely to be a feast or famine type of player.

14 league team. I had 1st pick so it sucked having to wait 26 picks to make my 2nd and 3rd pick. I feel pretty happy with the top RB, top D/ST, and one of the top TE. If the rest of the guys can be at least consistent with mediocre points I'll be happy.

For a 14 team league Jeffery and Thomas never should have been there unless you're non-PPR. Some people are fans of Russell Wilson. I am not one of them. I'd try to grab another QB for McCluster before someone has a great game week 1 leaving you high and dry if you end up unhappy with Wilson at least giving you options. That said for a league of that size that's solid. Sproles will be good if McCoy gets hurt.

Kinja'd!!! macanamera > macanamera
09/04/2014 at 14:33

Obviously I took Manning first, I took Jordy next because I had him last year and he did good things for me. Next came LeVeon, then Vereen, then Davis in 5 and Garcon in 6. I think I did pretty well. Sacrificed an elite RB for Manning, so we will see what happens tehre.

At the end of last season I played my friend in Chicago, hence my stiff breeze team name.

Anyway, I like you drafted Dez Bryant, even though he is an asshole. I'm thinking I'll start Foles as my QB. I am also in a 12 person league. Pickings are slim! Especially when you draft 9 and then 16th :(

Round: 1
** (9) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Arian Foster RB

Round: 2

** (16) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Dez Bryant WR

Round: 3

** (33) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Julius Thomas TE

Round: 4

** (40) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Andre Ellington RB

Round: 5

** (57) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Ray Rice RB

Round: 6

** (64) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Nick Foles QB

Round: 7

** (81) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Reggie Wayne WR

Round: 8

** (88) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Sammy Watkins WR

Round: 9

** (105) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Bengals D/ST D/ST

Round: 10

** (112) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Chris Ivory RB

Round: 11

** (129) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Darren McFadden RB

Round: 12

** (136) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Andy Dalton QB

Round: 13

** (153) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Adam Vinatieri K

Round: 14

** (160) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Saints D/ST D/ST

Round: 15

** (177) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Delanie Walker TE

Round: 16
** (184) Wow, that is a stiff breeze - Tre Mason RB

I'm a fan of Reggie Wayne and the Sammy Watkins pick is a nice wild card. Not a fan of a kicker in the 13th round. Vinatieri would have likely been there in the 16th. I technically had the 18th pick, and 22nd pick and 28th pick. Getting Bernard, Bryant, and Stacy is OK with me. I could have had AJ Green if I wanted, but I think the asshole has a better year.

Yeah....that was a serious consideration. Last year I had Greg Olsen, which was great. Not so much, this year...Dennis Pitta.

Forgot to mention...this is a keeper league. I've had Brady, Marshall, Gronk, AP and Beast Mode for the past 3 years.

I had hoped to pick up Olsen again, but that didn't pan out. I wasn't thrilled about Pitta, but I knew he was pretty good before last year. That and hanging on to Gronk in the first place were my real gambles.

I'm in 3 divisions as well. I guess I have to ask then. Where are your 3rd-8th round picks? Trent Richardson? He played a full year in Indy and was the 35th ranked RB last year... the offensive line is just as bad or worse. Jason Witten? Ehh maybe, but I don't see anyone else there that I could have seen go in the early rounds.

I have a tendency to pick weird by getting a solid D and a solid K a lot earlier in the round (in between 3-8) because they can be consistent performers. It's a different strategy than most take, and I got fucking burned by it because of that a-hole prater getting suspended.

SOMEONE REMIND HIM HE'S JUST A GOD DAMN KICKER, KICKERS DONT GET SUSPENDED

no kicker is worth hanging on to lol. Not week 1 and 2 when you're trying to find those sleepers that none of the experts found that turn out to be the next Alfred Morris. Did you know Alfred Morris was drafted in like less than 1% of leagues his rookie year? You know what Matt Prater will do when he eventually comes back. You don't know who the next Alfred Morris is.

Yeah, I wondered if I drafter a kicker too soon, others in my league had started drafting them, so that's why I did it, haha. It can be slim pickings in a 12+ person league. I'd like to do an 8 or 10 person league sometime.

Also Ray Rice better come out roaring after his 2 game suspension, I did NOT realize that was the case when I drafted him. Oh well.

As for Bryant, for all his shit talking, I do think he had a fairly good year last year and is not a bad pick.

As it stands now I am projected to win, but I know that those projections mean very little, lol.

Try and trade Seattle for Carolina's D. I don't want anything to do with the Seattle D this year with the added emphasis on contact beyond 5 yards and defensive holding.

09/04/2014 at 15:16

lol... you clearly don't know what kind of season Ray Rice had last year.

Yes other than Matt Prater last year look at the point totals of all the other kickers. Then ask yourself why would you have drafted any of those particular kickers last year. If I had my way I wouldn't even draft a kicker. I'd then make some determination sometime before the first game and waive someone for one.

Haha no, I don't spend a whole lot of time on football, except for the Lions (ouch, I know) and following some of my key fantasy players. So how was his year? From what I read it wasn't stellar, but not bad.

I had Jason Hanson one year ('12 I think), since the Lions resorted to kicking a lot that year I got a LOT of points from him, haha. But in general, I agree I should've drafted one of those last.

that's easy. Find the team playing the raiders and pick them up. If not the raiders then pickup a team playing a crap team that week. I know some people who swap team defenses on a weekly basis. It works surprisingly well.

They sure do move the ball a LOT, but it's moving it to the endzone that is a major problem for them. I can't believe that with a quarter back that throws the same yardage as the best of them that they manage to lose so many games, haha.

Its non-PPR. AP was my first pick, Jeffery and Thomas were my second and third pick (I had them back to back). I'm not the happiest with Wilson, he was my 4th pick but at that point I had missed most of the other 2nd tier QBs. I think it is better than what I could have picked up. There are a couple of QBs remaining on Waivers but unless Wilson gets hurt or has a huge Super Bowl Slump I'm gonna stick with him. I'm excited to see how Sproles does at Philly,

Picks:

1st. Peterson

2nd. Jeffery

You mean you might be burned. You still don't know that either of your other options would have done better. You don't ever bench your studs. Remember the night Favre's dad died and he had a MNF game? He put up like 400yards and 4 TDs. Adopt the strategy to never play matchup games with your elite players and it is much easier to live with their lesser performances.
