Pretty disappointed with the looks. Sure, get rid of the derp smile, but the miata always looked like a fun and pleasant car. They're trying to make it look angry and sinister...but that's not what it is, especially with somewhere around what, 150hp?

I actually like the proportions and the silhouette, just the front and rear lights ruin it by just being too weird. Hopefully it looks better in person, or a mid-model refresh will come soon.

Also - the design is just too busy. Haunches, lines, curves, creases everywhere. The interior is gorgeous, but the outside of this car is not going to age well. The 3 previous gens have been very clean designs - timeless and smart. A clean NA still looks great today. Will not be the case for this thing in 20 years.

Here's to hoping it's a hell of a hoot to drive!
