Very interesting race. This race was supposed to happen yesterday, but a technical glitch froze the race. Luckily, we managed to reschedule it to today and it worked without incident.

Rain plagued the circuit all day before the race began. The field was split (exactly in half) between using intermediate and full wet tires when it came time for qualifying. Full wets proved to be the right choice as the gap between the slowest full wet time and the fastest intermediate time was over 7 seconds.

Fortunately (or unfortunately), rain continued for the entire race, resulting in perfect full wet tire conditions throughout. Carbyne and Taylor dominated the race (once again) and finished 17.9 seconds ahead of second, even with a risky and 100% unnecessary pit stop on the last lap. Carbyne is now immortalized, and the act of running hard the entire race to pit on the last lap and still win will now forever be known as.........................Carbyned.

Fisher provided a scare for the front runners early on when he rocketed through the field, but missed the podium due to an extra pit stop, finishing 4th.

Ziegler (my driver) amazed by finishing 2nd, tied for his best finish. This was a key result for me because I have been sitting a few places under the promotion zone (top 8 overall are promoted to the next tier league next season), but I am now in this zone with only two races to go. Holding on to 8th is an entirely different matter though.

Reminder for all that the final/next two races have been pushed backed one day each (Saturday and Sunday respectively) due to the technical glitch yesterday. For those who have not yet joined and are interested, slots for this league will open up after the last race (Sunday).

(I copy and pasted the results into this post and it seemed to work fairly well. Sorry if you don't like this format.)

After trusting the Wet Weather Strategy tool to move from Inters to Wets for qualifying, Mr L. Palmer found himself 29th and 40seconds behind after pitting on the first lap to change to the correct tyres... Lesson learned, but a disaster for our home race. All things considered I'm happy with the recovery to 8th, although I have now lost 3rd in the championship... Bring on Brazil.

I was there as a 10 year old... It was wet... I remember that we didn't have a clue what had happened at the end until we stopped to fill up the car on the way home and asked the bloke there.

LOL that's great. Yah, let's pretend that this was a repeat of that. Somewhere in cyberspace is some very confused Japanese boy about to find out the truth.
