too much shit I would like and/or need to fix. Guess that happens on an 11 year old car with 170k miles. I think I need a second car and some extra room...

*thinks about how much maintenance the jeep needs*
*checks bank account*
I think I can push that back a little further.

Man, having all that on an only car? I thought my list was bad on my 924 (my second, fun, car)
It has... character at the moment.

yup! I thought of putting at very least a part cost on these and then just decided it was less depressing if I didn't.

A lot of this is just preventative and trying to keep it running top notch. It runs fine, short of the intermittent wobbles, and with housemates I really don't have room for another car to have two as I would like.

don't even get me started on dent/ scratch repair. I do want to see your truck though. I'm tempted to get an older truck as a second vehicle.

Old trucks, eh?
^ Dad's $500 '95 Nissan Hardbody V6.
^ Dad's big '86 Chevy (with GMC core support and grille). Has a ~425hp Chevy 350 in it. Has a habit of venting smoke from the rear tires.
^ The old TohruTruck, '86 Chevy C10. Due to numerous issues*, the cab and front clip are being removed and sold (to the local welding shop for their plow truck), the drivetrain is getting removed, and the rest is being scrapped or sold.
^ '86 Nissan/Datsun 720 2WD. Has the carb'd Z24 I-4 in it. Previous owner took it apart to do a head gasket and timing chain, and let it sit all winter with the motor open and the hood off. Montana truck with no rust. I'm buying this from my dad for $250 and dropping a small-block Chevy in it. Not the 305 from the TohruTruck, but a different small-block.
Oh, and the Ram 50 was $1500.
* The TohruTruck's issues include (but are not limited to): bad gas tank, rusty frame, transmission pump seal failure, desperately needs a carb rebuild, the cab leaks water and is starting to rust quite a bit, and it needs a new set of tires.

Yes I am. You need a second vehicle so you can fix the first. Something you can carry parts in.

Bro dem feels....I just spent a ludicrous amount of money on a new rear end for the wagon only to find out I need new rear control arms and possibly a transmission mount.
And the MR2 needs brakes >.<
