When we last left my bitch session about the pains of trying to support your local economy, I ordered my welder's connector on Amazon. Ordered on August 25, the delivery estimate was between September 19 and October 2.

Kinja'd!!!

On exactly today, my part arrived from China. The receptacle bolted right in and my the connector on my welder's torch fit perfectly. All for $6.11.

Kinja'd!!!

I'd be welding right now, but someone decided that September 2, 2014 should be the hottest, most humid day of the summer here in Connecticut. Meanwhile that welding supply company lost a customer that may have not spend a fortune in their store, but I would have spent some money with them. Fuck em.

I'm an eBay guy and I just ordered from Amazon because I had a gift card. It was a Boden French Press, shipping from Kentucky to Connecticut. It took 12 days to arrive.

Call me an internet shopping snob, but this is unacceptable in my eyes. While it could be blamed on the merchant, rather than Amazon, the merchant was Amazon.

eBay places a whole lot higher of an emphasis on feedback than Amazon. I feel if Amazon did the same, I wouldn't be angry.

Sorry for my rant.

Complain to the customer service. I'd be willing to be they'd make it up to you with another gift card. I just looked and at the very most it would have been allowed to take 10 days.

I am absolutely amazed how fast things arrive from China. I gave in to the dark side and joined Amazon Prime for the free 2 day shipping. They weasel out of it on a lot of items but I'm buying a ton more stuff through Amazon.

Oh, and Rock Auto's shipping is amazing. I swear more than a few times they keep the stuff I order stashed in my neighbors garage and he just drops it off the next day.

Tweco connectors it looks like. I'm a little bit surprised your welding supply house didn't have some on the shelf. They aren't the most common connector, but they are probably the second most common connector. In fact Tweco connectors and lugs are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.
