Everyone makes a huge deal about Senna's "debut" at the rain soaked Monaco with the way he was gaining on the leader, but what no one realized was that Bellof was gaining on Senna at the same time!!

The video of his crash has haunted my dreams for years. The fact that he was killed at Eau Rouge makes my history brain scream. So much history. So much significance. So much sadness that we lost this super driver before he was able to Andretti the racing world. He was Senna before Senna was Senna.
