You'll have to excuse me if it isn't as grandiose as some other fleets posted. But I'm proud of my car, and once it's paid off, the fleet WILL expand.

Doesn't your wife also have a car? Like a 3 or something?

So, I have a question. And this is not meant to offend you in any way, I'm just genuinely curious. Why the PT? I've asked a couple of people with Cruisers and so far all of them have been hand-me-downs or inherited.

Nope, I wish though. Once it's paid off, this will be her car and I'll get something more economical, and preferable stick.

That is my one car fleet quality: 100% stick. I do with my fleet had rear defrost though.

Yeah, I got this car before I was interested in cars, and before I was interested in sticks.
Honestly, because I started off as a owner who had 'just a car', I didn't take good care of it. After finding out I messed up the car because I wouldn't take it in for the 'shaking', I got stuck with a $700+ bill. It was at that point I realized I need to take better care of my car. Learning more about cars I found Jalopnik, and the rest is history. In 2 short years, I'm a amateur gear head who won't shut up about cars, :).

One of us! One of us! One of us!
My first car automatic too! I was just amazed to have a car.

I was living in Fort Myers, FL, old people area. I needed a car because I was going to get married in a couple months. This was the best car I could find, seriously. $10,000, 36k miles. Plus, I like things out of the ordinary. The front is different from other cars, and I can appreciate it for that, plus I love the 'in-your-face' color as well.
I appreciate it because it's my first car. It's an '08, and I've had it since '10. It does exactly what the initials PT stands for, "Personal Transport". Nothing more, nothing less. But I love the car still. It's still my first car, :).
And no offense taken. It may be a crazy, retro styling, and I appreciate the car for what it is, :).

how economical is it? I've heard they're gas hogs and unreliable. Heard and actually knowing are two different things.

Yes! It serves it's purpose flawlessly, as a personal transport, lol. It's just I'm now eager to take the next step in being a gearhead. :)

City/Hwy is suppose to be 18/24. I've only got 24 once, for a week. That same week I got it to 26 mpg, so I think there may of been a glitch. It's usually about ~23.
If I remember right, it has a 18 gal. Tank. I commute roughly 80 miles a day, total. It takes about three days of commuting before it gets below a quarter tank. Though I do drive it easy in the morning, and hard going home. So take that with a grain of salt.
The national average for mpg is 23, so it's hitting that number nicely. It's just ...there's more economical cars out there...

I forgot. For reliability, it's great. At least for me. Any rrepairs done to it were because of my recklessness behind the wheel, or getting into an accident because of bad weather. The car itself, surprisingly, has taken quite a beating, and still runs.
