I love the clown shoe. Those hips!
How do you like the Volt?

I like the Volt pretty well. My wife LOVES it, and that's what counts. Most days she commutes entirely on electricity. We've got a 240V charger too, so it charges quickly.

how do you like the Grom? (and how do you use it? commuting? weekend fun?)
i'm seriously considering one as a first bike but don't want to quickly outgrow it and have to sell it to buy a "proper" bike. went to a dealer today and sat on one - it feels FUN just sitting on it. but i'm afraid i'll be yearning for a bike i can legally take on the freeway/highway.

I really like my Grom. I use it at work. Our site is 1200+ acres, I have equipment that I'm responsible for all over the place, and walking just doesn't cut it. I put the little trunk box on the back so I can carry a few tools or parts.
You might want to look at the CB300F if you're looking for a first bike but also think you'll want to go on the highway. I've thought about one as a commuter but haven't pulled the trigger.

yeah, I am considering the CB300F for that reason. Went to a dealership yesterday to check it out but they didn't have one in stock. I sat on the CBR300, which is essentially the same bike with the fairing and lower handlebars. I'm planning on hitting another place this weekend to check out the CB300F.
though, just sitting on the Grom yesterday put a smile on my face. but the salesman is right when he said it's a "toy." Its compromises/limits are what's keeping me from pulling the trigger on one.
thanks for the reply.
