EDIT: Switched the M6 Gran Coupe with the Convertible.

EDIT 2: The 4-Series lives again, but classified as a 3-series.

It's like natural selection, except I'm in charge. I'm editing my plan constantly also.

(The 5 Series would be cut out until a redesign or facelift.)

I'd combine the M3 and the M4, to make the M3 Coupe and sedan once again.

It's like you read my mind. Only change i will make is eliminate the x5 and leave the x6. If you want a big gas guzzling SUV then you go big or go home. I'll also leave the X1 because it's cheap and when lowered a little, it looks just like a wagon so win win win!

What's wrong with the regular 5 series? Plus I kind of like the X1, more than the X3 and X5 anyways. I never got the point of buying an SUV from a sports car company.

I've combined the 4 Series with the 3 Series, like when there was a 3 Series coupe.

I still think it's a pretty attractive car, especially in M-sport guise. It's due for a redesign in a few years, the 7 series is about to be overhauled.

Also, no 4 series coupe? That's a guaranteed money maker.

How is it far superior? It is in no way better than an X6. Both suck off road. Speed, the X6 is faster. Looks wise, i think the X6 is more menacing. Value, the X6 takes the cake. If we run a poll on which is more desirable or better, the X6 will win all the time so i really don't see where the X5 is far superior to the X6

What's wrong with the 5-Series?

Honestly, I don't understand people's hate for BMW's expansive portfolio.

The 4-Series makes infinitely more sense than the 3-Series coupe. Odd numbers = sexy but impractical coupes. Plus, BMW's engineers made so many modifications to the 3-Series chassis that it is insulting to try and call it by the same name.

The Gran Coupe's are just sexy, and the 6GC is the best looking car in BMW's portfolio.

I may not personally like the X4/6 or GranTurismo's, but if they're profitable, why kill them?

The only thing I agree with you on is the 1-series hatchback. America needs the M135i.

I would delete all X SUVs and FWD models. BMW SUV? No thanks.

Everything in their line up is fine, they just need to offer a Manučl on every car, oh, and add the old 4.0 V8 to the Z4, like the old Z4M that used the old M3's I6 engine.

Really? The X6 is ugly as hell. The X5 is cheaper, they have the same top speed and roughly the same 0-60 time. The X5 has more space, and cargo capacity. I'm not sure where the X6 is better. But I'm going to run a poll for my own curiosity.

3 and 4's are flying out the doors. Rich white moms still like the 6 series, mostly selling gran coupes, 5 series sells pretty hot, but the facelift is coming next model year, 2 series isn't selling like crazy but in similar numbers to 1 series.

Z4's are sorta moving but not this time of the year, X1's are very popular, selling a lot. X4's are actually selling, not so many X6's but X3's and X5's are going like normal.

Well, the expansive portfolio that they currently have may just be a bit too expansive. When their own cars are nearly competing with other cars that they make, that's a sign.

Yep the whole renaming structure was dumb. I liked the 3 series coupes and sedans not 3's and 4's. The i3 is cool, but not refined enough and is marketed poorly. The i8 is sold out for 3 years too.

Agreed, and along that whole thing in general people think that the higher the number, the more expensive, and just having them with the same first number, I'd feel would make it a whole lot easier to explain.

I'm probably the minority, but I think it's one of the best looking in the segment. A car like this should have a conservative style. Now put a F10 and any other 5 series (but the e28 with US bumpers) and I'll take the other one, but the F10 should really be a 7 series, the 3 a 5, the 1 series hatch should be a wagon (there should also be a 4 door) and the 1/2 a 3. The current 7 needs to just be a Rolls-Royce platform, and the 6 needs to be an 8 series. (coupe and gran coupe) The 4 would become a 6.

LOL I just read "If I Ran the Zoo" by Dr. Seuss last night to my son, and this reminds me of that. "If I ran BMW, that's just what I'd do." Still rhymes too!

And on the 5-series cut, just make the 6 series GC the 5 series. Done.
