The windshield wipers caught on each other and almost broke the windshield a few times (when they stopped working there were visibility issues). Otherwise, torque+no traction control was not a problem and I just spent 30 minutes wiping down the car until it was bone dry. The heat from the engine helped a lot along with the wax I applied a while back. Anyways, I have to figure out how to adjust the wipers. Here's some water beading action.

The passenger does not require visibility.

Solution: Remove passenger wiper arm.

Actually, they still work flawlessly! I'm beginning to think that the seller really didn't have any typical electrical problems prompting them to put this car up on CL...

So simple yet so ingenious! My only issue with your solution is that it could prompt a new "JDM" trend. Y'know, because racecar.

Crap! I didn't think of that. I was just quoting the 80s GM Service Manual..

There's the catch, 133k :P corvette guys think the only way to keep a car is wrapped up for but one day out of 6 months, so it's not really worth anything. I paid $5,600 for a fully functioning classic corvette with 3 pedals, loads of torque, great handling, and decent body and paint... I also paid 5,600 for a car worth $5,600 on a good day lol

Haha, Nice.

I completely agree though, there are too many undriven Corvettes out there. My father has a C5 which he drives once in a blue moon, and he had a C4 before that which he drove even less, (No wonder why everything broke)

I dealt with this on my 93.

If the arms and blades don't sit all the way down when the wipers are off the transmissions (arms beneath cowl screen) have become misaligned and you just need to adjust those.

It's pretty simple just loosen the nut that holds the socket on the right transmission. It might be the left but, I am pretty sure it is the right one (it's been a couple of years since I had to do it). Push the blades all the way down then retighten the nut on the transmission, you should be good to go after that.

Oh ya not sure if you are on corvetteforum.com, but here is a C4 DIY thread off of there. It came in handy for me a couple of times. The windshield wiper thing might be in there but I am not sure.

Also, you should definitely look on e-bay or the C4 parts for sale section on corvetteforum.com for a Factory Service Manual. It might be a PITA to find and it could be a little pricey but it will come in super handy. It is the service manual Chevrolet gave to the dealerships so the techs could work on the car. It's way better that a Chilton Manual or anything like that.

Have you replaced the gears on the motor yet?

No, I'll be sure to do that if I can't find an easy adjustment fix or something. Thanks.

Mid America Motor Works and some other Corvette specialty places makes brass gears that replace the plastic original ones. The weight is pretty similar so it doesn't put extra stress on the motors, the brass ones are much stronger. The plastic gears are usually the weak point in the headlight setup.

Thanks for the info! I'll be ordering some of those as soon as I have time to work on the wipers.
