With a little light persuasion and the assistance of a neighbor we liberated the mighty 4.0 from its prison.
So empty..
Making things more difficult was the need to leave the converter attached. So, while my buddy lifted the engine I had to jack the trans up at the same rate. Otherwise you snap the front pump drive and kill the trans.
Remember folks, even if there's Erl in the pan, you still have to change it!
