And the only people who actually manage to make a PROPER lifted truck are the Icelanders :P

This truck is off of asphalt. Definitely not a bro truck.

I want to get little business cards made to leave on guy's trucks like this. They'll say, "I'm so sorry about your micropenis." I like a functionally lifted truck (ie, trophy truck or prerunner style) but this serves no purpose. I guess I would't hate them so much if they weren't driven almost exclusively by neck-beard-wearing douche bags.

Most of us Nordibros have a use for them (Not really, I live in the eastern part of Norway, -30 celsius is quite common, 10-15" of snow over night is quite common.. NEVER needed AWD or 4x4, a regular FWD Civic or something will do just fine.)

08/29/2014 at 08:51

Yeah I guess i was thinking more of the northern part.

I have decided I want to drive from Bergen to Burfjord. Road E6 looks fun.

08/29/2014 at 08:55

Kinja'd!!!0

Burfjord? How does someone NOT from Norway know about that place (or someone not from the northern part of Norway at that)? But, If you're going to drive through Norway, you should start way more south than Bergen :)

Kinja'd!!! kanadanmajava1 > KnowsAboutCars

We have snow here (in some winter quite plenty) but usually lifted trucks aren't needed. I worked for one season in Lapland as a winter tire test engineer. My daily driver was slammed '89 Polo. I didn't get stuck even for once but many locals had a bit more off road capable vehicles.

But that truck doesn't look very road legal. Our lifting rules are quite strict. Suspension can be lifted for 77 mm and the tire diameter can enlarged by 51 mm. With a good reason you can get exception for more but currently you actually need pretty good reason. And the tires have to be covered by the wheel arches.

This Land Cruiser has been modified legally and is about as far as we can go without exceptions.

Kinja'd!!! Laird Andrew Neby Bradleigh > thebigbossyboss
08/29/2014 at 09:04

Kinja'd!!!0

Lindesnes is the southern most point of the mainland. I've never been to Burfjord, it's a TIIIINYY place dude, 600 people or so there. The thing about Norway though, is that you need to decide if you wanna see the coastal area and mountains, or if you wanna see the eastern parts (mountains and forests). You COULD do both, but then you'd need 4 weeks or more.

That lift might be legal but it would need fender flares since those wheels stick out that far.

I've driven from Oslo to Trondheim. Lots of fjords, lots of tunnels most of which lead you to Bergen (one is 24.5km, at the moment the longest road tunnel in the world), lots of ferries. They all pall rapidly, especially the tunnels.
