So besides the new engine, I'm going to need new fog lights, radiator/hoses, and a AAA membership.
I've also wanted to do a snorkel build for the intake, but I haven't been able to find kits for the explorer, but the home made builds seem simple enough besides all the cutting.
Let's build an explorer Oppo. Ideas, thoughts.
The 302 swap is out of the question unless someone is donating parts, straight engine swap.

I don't see any fog lights to replace, or is that the issue?
Also, don't get a snorkel until you waterproof the rest of your drive train. Transmission vent tube, differential vent tubes, etc.

Polish up those headlights and check everything rubber/plastic that's exposed to the elements. There's going to be dry-rot/general cracking here and there and everywhere.

I didn't find out till years after my parents bought it that it had wiring for fog lights and empty spaces whee they should be installed. Plus here is a button on the dash to turn them on.
