Every time I read a Jack Baruth article, which admittedly I don't do all the time, I strongly disagree with him. All his reasons in that article are about not getting it because people won't notice you and give you acclaim for owning the car. Who cares? I also remember he wrote an article about how he tried to convince his friend to not get a BRZ and rather get an accord coupe because its faster, and he didnt understand his friends reasons for wanting the BRZ. He doesn't really seem like a great car enthusiast to be honest. Another one was when the Z06 was announced that it would add an auto he said he wouldn't want a Z06 because he didn't want to be lumped in with the mid-life crisis corvette owners. He cares more about the perception that his car recieves rather than the actual car.

Some of his reasoning can suck some times but I would not say Jack Baruth is not an auto enthusiast just because I don't agree with him.
