Why is Nissan Canada selling both the Versa Note (that would be what smudgey bought) and the Nissan Micra at the same time? Let's take a look at the similarities.
Micra: Starting Price: 9998
Versa Note: (New for 2015 no less). Same engine as Micra I think (both 109 HP 1.6L DOHC).
Starting Price: 14298.
Thing is once you take the Micra and add an auto (of course we Oppos would never, but joe average might) you get to the base price of the Versa, pretty much.
Micra with auto starts at 13298.
Auto (CVT, but whatever) in a Versa is 15 598. I'll bet in about 6 months you could get one for the price of an automatic Micra. (rebates etc).
So...does it just come down to sheetmetal? Is the Versa worth the extra $2K?
Oppo smudgey points out that the Versa is about a foot longer. Damn...that's an expensive foot.

Well... One's a goofy-looking blob sold by Nissan that doesn't have any design philosophy other than "pointy lights" and a vaguely corporate grill that they struggle to find buyers for, and the other one is... the same thing...

God damnit Kinja.
Fuck all of the things Nissan makes except the Z series and the Juke. ESPECIALLY THE SEDANS. None of them have any sort of character.

I have drove by the Nissan lot a few times and I really prefer the Micra for looks, the cheapest one I have seen is 12500 though.

Yeah but even the character of the juke is just ugliness. Sure the juke R is batshit insane...but that's not really an affordable option.

Lol, well it does still exist, just isn't available in the U.S. Or North American market. It's a big seller here. :)
