Oh wonderful XT6 Disc golf player! You are the coolest dude or woman ever! Lifted suspension, 90's legacy wheels, XT goddamn 6! You've wedged your way into my heart.
Douchey Porsche owner on the other hand, at least gets points for driving the Boxster with the tent for a roof (in seattle mind you) and seatbelt straps for doorhandles. Weirdly enough there are 2 of these closeish to where i live. Last time i spotted this guy parked, i rubbernecked it as I drove by, only to encounter another one 2 blocks down at a 4-way stop. People love their seatbelt strap doorhandles i guess.

I think it is! It's like golf but with the expectation that you will be smoking pot on the course.

It's entirely possible, i'd be willing to bet that those legacy wheels add a bit of height as well. Still, up close, it looked significantly taller than any XT6 i've seen.

Except the XT6 fucking sucks and that Subaru (back then) should know better. To Subaru: Fuck you back then, and fuck you (now).
I know this - I owned one. Never again. Here's why it's stupid:
"Unique Power Steering System" requires a "unique" fluid at $20 a pop - oh, and they're getting rare.
Air Suspension: Not exactly relia-no, not exactly above mediocre, and you're bound to swap in Loyale shocks the moment an airbag leaks .
One motor/arm windshield? Good luck finding a part when it fails.
Speaking of which, it doesn't do a good job clearing the windshield compared to a single-arm wiper system Mercedes uses.
In short, it was an engineering disaster that should have said "For fuck's sakes, Subaru, stop!" I will give them one crumb of comfort: At least the ER27 was a proper motor compared to the EG33.

Yeah but that's why it's so awesome...somebody else is dealing with all that crap. I'm just taking the picture and enjoying the shit out of some rare automotive crazyness.
But I hear you. I used to own a Celica All-trac. Finding parts...or hell even people willing to work on that thing was...difficult.

See, a Celica All-trac worked while the XT6 deserves to be crushed hence why it's not awesome. It's a $27,000 (MSRP predicted) failure, and people who initially bought them first-hand should be ashamed of themselves for supporting a bastard child.

Celica all-trac didn't work when i spun it into the ditch! (Just kidding. That thing reversed right out of the ditch like a champ with nothing but fucked up front bumper to show for it.)

The Porsche owner is automatically labeled "douchey" for having a nicer car than some people can afford.
America.

For sure. He can be douchey and awesome at the same time though. That pretty much epitomizes that car for me. On the one hand "lightweight," but on the other hand they're charging more for silly features that it cost Porsche less to manufacture.
I love them and I hate them. I'd feel like a huge douchebag in one of those, but i'd still probably do it. Bear in mind I DD and have been DDing a 350Z for the past 8 years or so. My car is not quite as douchey as the Porsche, but it certainly scores more douche points per dollar. Ultimately though, I bear my doucheyness with a smile, because i love being able to rip through gears on a sports car whenever the hell the mood strikes me. Even if it does make me look like a turd sometimes.
