I saw this Fisker Karma in a parking lot in Malibu and decided to take a closer look. I've always thought the idea of them was brilliant, as was the design. When I got closer though, something struck my eye....
...No, not the 911.....
...see that gap between the front bumper and front fender? What's up with that? I had to go for a closer look.
Look at that! The gap between the trunk and rear fender was huge.
Same thing with the gap between the bumper and fender.
Everything here seems alright...
...but look at this! The gap between the fender and A pillar was pinkey-sized!
The one thing that I will always think when I see a Fisker from now on is simple: The company was still just an upstart. The quality appears to have been sub-par, and that may have partly led to their demise. Who knows what the interior is like.
Gorgeous? Yes. Great? I'll have to get back to you on that one. The one thing I'll have to give it is that it's depreciating like a Phaeton at the moment. Who knows, maybe someone here will buy one and report back.

The car was known for quality problems including large, uneven panel gaps. In the future when these cars are collectible (I believe they will be, eventually) I'm sure they will be restored better than they were new.

Large fender gaps isn't really a big deal, uneven ones are. Usually fender gaps are larger so that they can be uneven without causing problems

I've seen only one from a distance on the road.
While Fisker quality wasn't up to snuff, we can't discount the idea that this one was maybe involved in an accident and the gaps are due to the body shop.

I'm actually sad for the company. They are beautiful cars.
