My face when I sever my hood release cable and my hood is stuck shut.
So I went for a quick drive and planned on bleeding my coolant of any air, pulled the hood release and nothing. Zero resistance, just flopping about. The hood has gotten stuck before but usually a push and pull and it pops up. But nope, not this time. Long story short I got stabbed in the finger by the little wires in the release cable, my hood is stuck shut and I need a new release cable.
Edit: $60 later for new release cable and hood latch. Know what I'll be doing this weekend.

Ive got the opposite problem. The previous owner slammed the hood so hard he split the braces, its a fiberglass hood, so the latch won't even catch the hood.
