Asking for help again. This weekend I noticed my mustang is struggling to start. I thought it may be a bad battery, but I had Advance check it out and the test came back with no issues.

What else should I check on my own?

Here's a quick video of my starting my car. or not...KINJA!

Real slow to turn over compared to last week. And my clock has reset a few times when starting. I seems like a dead battery, maybe something is draining it while parked.

Sounds electrical to me, hard to tell much more than that from your description though.

Well the starter circuit is simple on that car, key signals relay, relay sends battery power to starter. maybe your starters gone bad. Does it run okay once started?

Yes no problems when running.

Disconnect the negative lead from the battery and put a multimeter between the negative terminal and the negative lead and see if you have a draw. If you do, start pulling fuses until you find the circuit it's on then go from there.

battery or starter.

to test battery, try jumping another battery (as if it were dead) and see if that makes it any better, if yes, then Autozone is an idiot and you need a new battery, otherwise I would say your starters on its way out.

Just looked up the how to on replacing the starter. seems like a simple enough job. Just need to verify that's the problem first.

Yes it is very simple, there is a chassis ground wire that gets in the way a little, and removing the top bolt on the starter will require you to put your arm in some very funny positions, but it is not completely impossible and by far not the hardest thing you could do on one of these.

Brought to advance after having to be jumped both in the work parking garage and at the gas station on the way home. They ended up replacing it for me under warranty, even though the tester said it was "good".

Its concerning that didn't charge enough to start the car after the 30 min trip the gas station and the 40 min trip to advance. Hopefully it was just the battery and not the alternator going dead.

My 05 did this for a while. Killed 1 battery in the same manner, I replaced it with a nicer battery, that one lasted a good while, then it acted up again, so I replaced the battery and alternator (It really is a simple job, I can do an alt on that car in about 30 min) with a heavy duty alternator, I never had another issue after that, but I also had the old alternator bench tested and it passed all testing so I have no clue what the issue was.
