So here I am minding my own business on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! trying to watch a video of a Boss 'Stang & a Formula 'Bird take on the 'Ring and of course someone comments we can't drive and our cars can't turn.
How does this crap still come up?
Sure the Charger is fat, and the Impala is no track queen, but neither is a Passat or Camry. The cars we sell that are enthusiast oriented are good, actually, they're great. Almost anyone with a good job can afford a $32k 430hp Mustang, what does that buy you in Europe? A Golf R?
Have fun in your 265hp TTS that costs $48k, we'll just be over here in our C7s.

Well someone needs to wade into their shit storm. The whole website really is Euro based so most of them seem to be #stanceworks people. I'm not saying we dont have them in the USA but damn some people on there are just ignant.

But imagine how much faster they would be if they had a Lotus-designed suspension!
Truth be told, I would think most of that is because the 'Ring favors power and stability under acceleration more than raw cornering speed, because very few people can actually corner at 10/10ths without crashing, so it has a bias toward cars like that.

That was the point. The euros still think they reign supreme. But with he new Z06 and IRS Mustang and what ever the hell SVT is cooking in their meth labs. THey are about to get some culture shock.

While most of GM's vehicles over the last ten years are a lot better I think their times come from drivers with balls of steel. Like the Z/28 test lap in the rain.

The reason why it still happens is because no other country cries as much when their cars are insulted.
I'm cool with people cracking jokes about British cars heck sometimes I join in but as I have discovered numerous times any little comment about American cars and it's 1776 all over again.
Needless to say a lot of you blokes can't take a joke.

Just ignore them because let's be real, CarThrottle is a UK site. American cars aren't exactly a common thing in the UK...
OK so times have changed but my point is that most of them haven't seen an American car let alone drive one. What they have seen is how easy it is to get a reaction out of you guys over something so minor. All countries have dumb stereotypes especially when it comes to cars but remember they are dumb. Also I would bet my Afro that if given the chance to own a Mustang 99% would say yes in a heart beat. (Personally I'd try haggle a Challenger instead.)

When your car actually has enough power to put it past its ability to hold the road. It all comes down to the driver.
That is why most European cars hold and turn better. They can't go past their limits. :)
