And now the steering wheel shakes like a meth head at +65mph. It's not noticeable at lower speeds. I'm assuming the tires are balanced correctly but I could be wrong. Other than an un-balanced tire, anyone have input on this? New driveshaft joint or tie-rods maybe?

Also, I'm getting the itch to drop it a bit. What's wrong with me!?

Should have gotten Michelin Pilot's one the Pilot, so you can Pilot your Pilot on Pilots.

Crappy alignment? My car had that. Got it aligned, fixed it right up.

Most likely they screwed up on the balancing. Have them re-balance them before you spend any money on anything else.

On the last question. You probably bumped your head with the badly balanced tires. Just let it pass and save your money for something fun.

Well shit. Now I have to take the Grabbers back for Michelins.

Alignment history is unknown on this one, so yeah I'll probably do that.

Have the tires balance re-checked first things first. Maybe they didn't put a wheel weight on right or did a half-assed balancing job. It's not unheard of for a wheel weight to come off right away...

If that doesn't cure it a front end check is next. Apparently common on higher milage Pilots is the lower ball joint (but they call it something fancy). My coworker had an '11 with a hefty vibration and he had the dealer replace that part and it got better. But he also got new tires at the same time and he wouldn't let me balance his old ones as a test... so I can't say for sure.

You need Pilot Super Sports, so you can have Pilot Sport tires on your Pilot Sport Utility Vehicle. Everyone needs Pilot Super Sports!

I'm just playing. That only happens on solid axles. Your Pilot definitely does not have solid axles.

I hope that is his car. Filthy, greasy overalls all over the upholstery.

One and a half inches makes any car look better.
