When people misspell the name of their car, it immediately sends a message to me, either they don't care enough to correct it, or they honestly don't know.

Both scenarios point to the fact that if I were to buy their car, I would have a plethora of stupid problems, those results immediately go into the "Nope!" box.

I promise you this is a massive epidemic.

My parents own an auto shop down in South Carolina. When they come in, my mom makes the appointments and handles billing, etc. And of course my dad is the mechanic.

My mom has a game about how many people miss-pronounce Hyundai, and also asks them to spell it for her (even though she knows damn well how to spell it). They almost ALL get it wrong.

Her theory is now "If you can't spell it you shouldn't own it"
