There's four more novels of this character to be made into movies.
"Would you buy a Lincoln from Mickey Haller?" Maybe, Lincoln. Maybe.

Could be worse: they could launch a new sub-brand with Kool Cpeling called Linkin and partner with Linkin Park.

This does make sense, the first movie was fairly successful, so no reason there can't be a sequel.
Of course, it does mean that the vintage 1980s Town Car would have to go away in favor of a brand-new MKsomething for the promotional tie-in to really work.

The 80's Town Car is just for the movie - a good decision as it has more style and screen presence than what was in the source material.
In the novel "The Lincoln Lawyer", he owned 4 Town Cars that he had bought brand-new the previous year at a fleet discount. Since the book came out in '05, they'd have to have been '04 Town Cars. The original cover indicates this as well.

Yes, I'm aware. The art department made the decision to use the '80s one because it looks better. However, that was before Matthew McConaughey was signed on as Lincoln's official spokesman and was done without any involvement from Ford Motor Company. Mr. McConaughey's new endorsement deal would most certainly enter into vehicle choice in any future films using the character.
