Talks about the IS and Q50 last night

See both an IS and Q50 on the way to school today.

No pictures because my phone's shutter noise can't be shut off and I refuse to take pictures on a quiet bus.

The IS350 looked like this but a darker grey. Same wheels and non F-sport body kit though.

The Q50 looks exactly like this.

They look even better in person than they do in pictures IMO.

The q50 looks fantastic in person. The IS aint half bad either but I don't find it quite as interesting.

Predator face aside, the IS is a striking looking car and pictures do not do it justice.

The Q50 is also a very fine looking sedan.

Except that damn steer-by-wire system.

I agree. The predator face actually works well on the IS I think.

If I had to choose one, I'd have the Infiniti. Except I'd somehow manage to remove the interior from the Lexus and put it into the Is.

The only problem I have with the infiniti is the owners and the future owners. What I mean is right now its owned by a group that only bought them because they couldn't afford a BMW and the future owners will be jdm bros that swear this thing is a skyline therefore "da best brah". Meanwhile the lexus is scaring away the old people so thats...good I guess?

I can agree with the future owners thing, consider I know a douchebro with a G35. But the current owners most certainly could afford a BMW, consider the Infiniti costs about the same as the 3-series.

I had a 2014 IS 250 about 2 weeks ago as a loaner car. I'll throw up an oppo review soon. I liked everything about it, except actually driving it.

Yes but try to spec them out to similarly and infiniti is cheaper

My dad has owned five Infinitis. He drives a Q50 right now. He's owned Jaguars, Mercedes, Lincoln, etc… he loves the reliability. He can afford mostly anything sub $100K

no, it wasn't the engine (which was surprisingly peppy). The gas pedal had lag, and it had some auto-brake feature which started at the slightest incline.
