"Last week I shot a roll of film that I'd got free with a second hand camera. When I got back the scans I found out that the roll had already been used by the guy who gave me it and so I had double exposed it. By chance, both of us had taken a photo of a motorway landscape and this was made. His photo is from the inside of the car looking at countryside and my shot of an urban motorway is best seen on the left hand side. "

that's one of the coolest pictures I've seen in a long time.

I almost didn't look at it, then I noticed how interesting is was! I thought the Jalops would like it.

Do you have a larger scan of that? I collect really cool images for inspiration in my own photography..

To be honest, I don't like it... I hate to be that guy, but after taking a photography class with a bunch of idiots who can't tell the difference between the new box of photo paper and the clearly marked "EXPOSED" one, I've double-exposed more than enough pictures. It's interesting the first time, but really it just ruins both photos.

One of my friends does art/photography and this is actually a thing - she has a bunch of double exposure photographs with one scene laid on top of another. Can have some really cool outcomes!

That's awesome. I found an old film camera in my basement last weekend. It's at least 7 years old. I have no idea if the film is even good. I hope there's something half as cool on there.

Double-exposures are tough to get right, but DAMN this one is right!

Great shot!

Couple weeks ago I tried to mid-roll rewind some film and then shoot the rest of the tool in a different camera body. Ended up double exposing several frames, but the results were excellent. If I could find a way to line up the frames, I'd try shooting a roll twice; could be a good way to get double exposures with any camera.
