If my car is in neutral and I blip the throttle the engine cuts out COMPLETELY for a couple beats and then revs as normal. This only happens in neutral and if I jab the throttle. If I come on the power smoother it works just fine, and there's no surging/misfires/any oddness while rolling.

Whut.

what car?

I've noticed a lot of GM's do this, especially the older ones.

2000 LeSabre, 222,222 miles on a Buick 3800SII. Intake, exhaust, chip tune, regular gas.

Just started happening today, only recent change is the intake.

My van does this. It's interestingly weird.

Intake can cause it, I've seen that on my Corolla too, i am not sure how to explain it, but as long as you get no misfires from it its fine.

I'm just gonna call it an engine safety feature.

Who knows, maybe my engine is about to grenade.

I think it might be a vacuum leak. I'll have to check when it's actually light out.

My car does this too sometimes, though it's the least of its problems...
