I wish I had a way to park this next to my E23 but sadly I just can't.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

1986 635CSI US spec auto. 134k miles, sport buckets with memory seats. Originally from texas, last inspected in 2009 in NJ. No idea on the price, the paper that I think had a price on it was upside down on the dash.

No you don't. The 735 was an I6. The 750 was the V12

ha, well, whatever it is, I don't want it anyway, so it doesn't matter to me!

alpina parts are probably so hard to find and I know they cost big money

I'd probably be the son of a bitch who LSx swaps this car.

You are right, you DON'T want a BMW V12 car lol

If one of the two PCM's die, you're left with a I6 powering a dead I6

they fit this car so well!

Last time I talked to him, he said it runs and drives, but it's not pristine.

Considering he has two Silvia's and three R32s (legally imported), he doesn't really want it, and wants someone to take it off his hands.

When I asked about how he imported them, he said he works with someone with an import license, and when they eventually open their shop, he will be the head mechanic. One of the R32s is good for a solid 1800HP, and is a full drag car.

if it was a euro spec e32 it'd be more interesting but since the grey market ended right as the e32 came out I highly doubt many if any hit our shores.

It's in the back of a lot, I'm not sure I can get any good photos of it from where it is and where I can get.

my bad memory says this is what it is:

yeah thats the e32 the generation that came after mine. One of my friends has a 89 v12 abandoned at his aircraft shop.

Next time I'm there, I'll pester him for the Skyline pictures, but the BMW is in sad shape. I really wouldn't trust it at all.

tell him to bring a skyline to CT

I asked him if he went to any shows, and he said he can't stand shows, he'd rather be racing. So the best I can do is find out where he goes, and try and get some videos of the cars.

I should have clarified, *fake* alpina parts. Just a lookalike body kit and wheels, doesn't have to be authentic.

And I'd totally do the LS swap, but being a Bimmer, I'd want to keep this with a BMW v8.

They're to finicky for the power you get out of them. I would be so terrified to supercharge a BMW V8.

Well, "easily", aren't there a bunch of electrical harnesses to switch out too? Plus I don't really have space to keep a non-driving project, and I was only half-serious. The e30's been good to me so far. Good looking e24 though.

I've never really looked into swapping a e28/e24 but on my car (e23) the only bit of electrical work is really jumping 2 wires to keep the car from going into limp mode when it realizes the auto trans is missing
