Here is the first of my final collection of pictures from Car Week in Monterey. Part 1 will include my findings around the Concours grounds, and part 2 will be photos from the Concours d'Elegance itself.

The Ferrari exhibit was right after the first gate. It features the new Formula 1 car F14T, a 458 Speciale, and a classic 250, among others.

McLaren's new P1 GTR concept takes the P1 to a new level.

Hennessey's Venom was there with it's gold lined engine bay and it's 270mph certificate of batshit insane speed.

Hennessey himself started the car up for the crowd and gave it a few revs

I'll admit, I wasn't a big fan of Toyota's first go round of the red FT concept. Seeing this grey version in person made be a believer. I hope they come to their senses and build the damn thing.

This Mercedes Gran Turismo Vision concept was absolutely astonishing, but I'm not sure what's up with the tires...

A new BMW Concept, the meh-series. They definitely got showed up by Mercedes

This is a Saleen tuned Model S. I don't know the specs of this car yet, but it definitely had brake, wheel and tire upgrades, and an appearance package. I'd imagine some sort of software tweets were in there too.

Speaking of Saleen, Steve was there!

A couple of big boy Bentley racers

The Porsche 918 was there to compete for looks with the P1, but sadly there was no Ferrari LaFerrari to be found to round out the trifecta.

On the way in to the main event, I spotted this electric motorcycle parked off to the side. Lots of carbon fibre bits.

I always thought the Veyron was a massive car, but it's really no bigger than a 3 Series. This is the same one I saw at the other day at Cars and Coffee. This one is owned by Craig Jackson, of Barrett-Jackson fame.
