Going through my old stuff I realized I never did a formal intro on who I am and my personal car interests.

To start off I guess the basics, I'm currently 22 and currently employed as a AutoCAD detailer creating parts for Curtain Wall building structures. Curtain Wall in a nutshell is the glass, stone, brick work you see on a building. Think of all the newer high rises in like New York and most are curtain wall. I create the parts so the glass can hang.

I'm a die hard classic American car guy. Ive been in and around the old school hot rod scene since I was out of the hospital, seriously I was a car show the day my mom and I were released, and have been working, reading, writing, eating and sleeping hot rods, customs and muscle cars since.

My first "car" was a 3/4 scale 34 Ford Roadster that my grandpa built as a mini version of his show truck he had at the time. it was teal with candy blue flames, and teal and white tuck and roll upholstery. Later on my grandpa built one for my little sister and we showed them together for awhile.

Then as I got older and got closer to driving age, my grandfather wanted for us to do a project to teach my how to work on older cars. We started hunting for cars. We ended up with a 1968 Chevy Camaro SS/RS(lead pic). the car was solid but had seen better days, the car ended up taking 7 years but we did everything but spray the color. I learned how to drive a stick in the 68 along with a wealth of knowledge and many memories I hope to never forget.

My current daily driver is a 98 Camaro SS. It has the Ls1 and a 6 speed manual. haven't done much in mods...yet.

The last car I own is my 33 Ford Pickup. I have been in and around this truck since basically day 1 of my life. this is the truck that started my passion and love of all thing old and carbureted. Its really a Camaro wrapped in a old Ford body but its been old reliable as the only classic in the family's stable that has always fired up and ready to go when ever the weather is nice.

Besides my three my grandfather is still going and still messing with cars and has a few still. current stable consists of

1955 Chevy Bel Air 2 door hardtop- been in the family 40 years

Kinja'd!!!

1991 Camaro Z28 Convertible

Kinja'd!!!

1934 Ford 3 window coupe (all original steel)

Kinja'd!!!

1956 Chevy 150 custom "Miss Taboo"

Kinja'd!!!

1965 Chevy El Camino - current project

So that's a little on me. I'm still a die hard classic guy. I would even say I'm now a bigger Camaro guy based on my screen name and that I also am a member of the local Camaro Club. since coming to oppo though I have opened up a little to foreign stuff. still don't care for most of it but not as bad as I was a year or so ago. I love this site and all the great topics and posts that are here. its a great group of people sharing info and stories.

SO MUCH OLD GM STEEL.

The blue '68 SS/RS is my dream car pretty much.

That is an amazing array of Chevy power. I'm at heart a Chevy guy too (and BMW), but being open minded is great for a car guy because there is so much awesome out there.

Welcome. Nice Camaro. I like the 68 and 98 and the 91. The 91 might be better looking than the 98. I'm not much of a classic guy. I just like to tinker and fix things and maybe learn some fabrication. And I'm glad to hear that you have at least a little bit of an open mind. I'm not much for the Low Rider, Stance, or other subcultures so geared to appearance only but I can appreciate that their owner's like cars too. I personally think modified, turbo'd minivans or maybe an LS engined minivan would be too cool.

Please tell me you still have the 68 Camaro. That body style is, IMO, easily one of the best looking cars ever made.
